OK, so I'm not really at a Carnival. I just loved the whimsical backdrop that this merry-go-round provided, and appropriately titled my post to go along with it. Do you guys remember going to the carnival or local fairs as kids? In the small town where I grew up, the yearly fair was our summer highlight for me all the way up through college. As a kid, I was excited to see the animals and eat pineapple whip ice cream (the most amazing thing on earth), as a tween I was excited to hopefully run into my daily crush and possibly ride the ferris wheel with him, and as a teenager it was the place to meet with my friends for the week nights after everything else was closed. Yes, our town was slightly boring. In LA, the fair is quite different. It's large and impersonal, and you don't go to run into old friends. I do like seeing the animals though. :)
For this look, I chose to wear a mint-colored jumper (yes, another one!!! You guys liked the last one, right? Well, it's back in stock at Forever 21! You can purchase it here. It's definitely one of my favorite summer items.) I paired the jumper with a vintage top & yellow python shoes. What do you think about my pairing?

DeleteWow that necklace....I have never seen anything like it. o.o It's so rather elegant and vintage looking. I love it!! You look soo stylishly elegant!! :D Anyways I miss going to carnivals. D; In my area it's a little "ghetto" when the local churches or schools do their annual carnival events. ^^'' Does the LA Fair count? lolz it's the closest thing I've been to when it comes to a "carnival" kind of thing.
ReplyDeleteThe Krystel Book
Thank you! And yes, I think the LA fair totally counts! It's the closest thing that I have now to my hometown fair! :)
