The Great Outdoors

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a fun weekend!  As I had hoped, I spent a lot of time relaxing this weekend- I caught up on some reading, watched a movie with my husband and went on a long bike ride yesterday afternoon (those of you who follow me on Instagram probably saw my photo).  I didn't get to as many DIY projects as I had hoped to, but I always seem to find time here and there to work on things! :)


Yesterday my husband and I spent some time walking around Pasadena, and I chose to wear this summery skirt with a tree print from Sarah Ball's collection for Anthropologie.  I've had this skirt for a few months now and have been trying to figure out how to pair it.  When I found this bright neon striped top the other day, I knew it was a perfect match.  I chose to wear nude heels & an oversize bag with this look.  What do you guys think of my pairing?

  8. Allison, first of all, the skirt is amazingly pretty, both in its patterns and color.
    Teaming a pale green skirt with a bright orange striped top is an unique idea. The entire look is bright and cheerful. Great for a day out in summer. Nude pumps are lovely too. they go almost with any outfit.

  9. Quite a bold combination! Even if i love the shoes i think they don't match with the top of the outfit..or the orange top doesn't match the shoes... who knows! Anyway the print of the skirt its just great.
