Insta-Wednesday

Let's be honest- this week I've been far more concerned with watching the Olympics than getting dressed and going out.  For those who have been watching gymnastics- were you as shocked as I was on Sunday when the reigning world champ Jordan Wieber didn't qualify for the all-around competition?  I was so happy for her teammates but I got teary-eyed when I saw her start crying.  I kept thinking about what a big moment it was and how just a few mistakes can take something like that away.  But then last night, the Fab 5 won gold- the first time since 1996 when the Magnificent 7 won (I've been obsessed since then!)  I can't wait to see what the rest of the week holds... :)


Anyways- I decided for today to show you guys some of my instagram photos.  Maybe you'll be inspired to follow me @a_fashion_files.  As you'll see, I show a lot of my personal life through my photos, as I show a lot of my art inspirations, and other things you don't see in my blog!

    1. OMG I love that you're a Derrida fan! I love modern philosophers and I'm a huge fan of Derrida. I'm really into the studies of deconstruction and the concept of origin- because as you as said, there is never a way for us to trace back the origin. Nothing is really "original"- everything is a copy of a copy of a copy! :)

  11. Awesome pictures!! I've been the same, I love the Olympics! My dad and brother got tickets and I didn't so, sad times! I went down and you can go to a viewing platform in jhon Lewis in the Westfield centre which was fun :)

  69. I've been watching the Olympics a lot too. I also felt bad for Jordan. It seems unfair that she could do so well and still not advance just because too many of her teammates advanced ahead of her.
